Tru-fecta Finely Screened Living Compost
$25.00 – $200.00
This premium quality compost contains living biology as complete soil food web communities. It has been screened to create small particles that are easier to spread and create more biologically active surface area. There is no better way to amend or top-dress your soil than with abundant living organisms.
Understanding Tru-fecta: Nearly all compost available is thermophyllic, meaning that the compost pile has been heated in order to destroy all the pathogens. This composting process leaves you with only thermophyllic organisms, while killing everything else. The biology that is killed is important though.
Living Compost from Kingdom Aquaponics is not heated in the composting process, so it still thrives with the phosphate and potassium solublizers, nitrifying bacteria and vast numbers of other living organisms.
But you might be thinking, “If the compost is never heated, isn’t is filled with pathogens that might hurt my garden?” All of our compost components are specially-chosen and pre-processed to remove pathogens BEFORE the composting process!
For example, the mushroom substrate we use is sterilized in advance of growing mushrooms. The wood shavings are from ripping kiln-dried lumber, and that kiln-heat removes any pathogens. And the ground organic material is sterilized with heat in advance too.
These materials are then combined with a mix of worm castings, fish poop, and special biological inoculants that we incubate and blend ourselves. The pile then composts in the open air, without ever getting hot.
The resulting compost has biological stability, structure and water storage capacity, and is fungal and bacteria rich, including purple sulfur bacteria.
You’re getting three ingredients in one. Worm castings, fish mulm, and biologically active compost. All in one product!
Tru-fecta is relied upon for serious land restoration projects, commercial and government environmental projects, and by top-tier cultivators who want the best in yield and quality.
Get it right the first time!
